A 17-year old teen was arrested last week after she allegedly struck her boyfriend in the head with a brick.
Kaitland E. Merk, 80 Short Seagraves Road, Commerce, was charged with one count of aggravated assault.
According to the incident report, Merk’s 19-year old boyfriend came to the Madison County Jail where he met with Deputy Alan Stratton. He told the deputy that Merk had struck him with the brick while they were arguing. The assault left a large laceration on his right forehead that required seven stitches.
Deputy Stratton, along with Deputy Jason Ring traveled to Ms. Merk’s home and met with her about the incident.
