A Colbert man was arrested on family violence charges last week following a domestic incident at his Jack Sharp Road home.
James Edward Brock Jr., 41, 459 Jack Sharp Road, was charged with one of simple battery FVA.
According to the incident report, Deputy Gary Floyd met with Mr. Brock and his wife. Mrs. Brock said she and her husband got into an argument and that he struck her with a baseball bat but “didn’t hit her hard.” He then dropped the bat and punched her in the face, she stated. The deputy noted a clear swollen bruise under her left eye.
Brock, who appeared to be intoxicated, had chocolate cake covering his entire face according to the report. When asked for his side of the story, he informed the deputy that he “couldn’t remember.”
