Aggravated cruelty to animals was reported at a residence on Colbert Grove Church Road after his dog was found dead on the back side of his property.
According to the incident report, the man stated he had let his dog out of its pen and was unable to locate him that night. The dog was later found, deceased, and appeared to have been shot twice with a small caliber rifle. The deputy stated that no other evidence was found at the scene.
In another incident, a woman on Pine Valley Farm Road reported that a 22-caliber rifle and a coin collection had been stolen from her mobile home. The home showed forced entry through the front door, according to the report, and the intruder appeared to have gone through her closets and drawers, leaving a mess behind. The woman reported that a neighbor heard her dog barking earlier in the evening.
