Hull man faces DUI, other charges

James Christopher Rowden, 35, 570 Ed Coile Road, was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and open container in vehicle.

According to the incident report, a woman on Ed Coile Road reported that she saw a white van driving in and out of the parking area of a trailer park driven by a man who appeared to be intoxicated and who was yelling things out of the van window. As he exited the park for the last time, she reportedly saw him strike a row of mailboxes, including her own. A second witness confirmed her statement and told Deputy Gary Floyd he knew the driver. Floyd followed the witness to 570 Ed Coile Road where he found the white van parked with the lights on and the engine running. The driver, identified as Rowden, was found slumped over the steering wheel, passed out. Deputy Floyd was eventually able to wake him up and get him to unlock the doors.

As the door opened, Floyd noticed a strong odor of alcohol and that Rowden could barely speak and had started to drool. Deputy Floyd asked Rowden if he needed an ambulance, to which he replied “no, he was just drunk.” Rowden was transported to the Madison County Jail.

•Amanda Dawn Cooper, 26, 140 Davis Place, Athens, probation violation (original charges: identity fraud and forgery).

•Jeffery Donald Doster, 46, 877 Hwy. 106, Hull, two counts of probation violation (original charges: two counts of VGCSA cocaine).

•Ronald Menbreno Garcia, 25, 1228 Stone Stewart Road, Hull, possession of marijuana less than an ounce and driving without a license (unlicensed/wrong class).

•Xavier Fanchon Guest, 20, 170 Peachtree Lane, Athens, possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA with intent to distribute, obstruction of an officer and possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes.

•Justin Lee Parham, 18, 4672 Paoli Road, Comer, burglary (felony).

•Rita Michelle Rogers, 41, 55 Robert Hardman, Winterville, four counts of deposit account fraud.

•Robbie Sinclair Stringer, 25, 190 Bowles Drive, Athens, possession, manufacture, etc. VGCSA with intent to distribute, driving while license withdrawn suspended or revoked, obstruction of an officer, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, speeding, reckless driving, improper passing, failure to drive within a single lane, driving on the wrong side of an undivided street, failure to obey traffic control device, possession of arms by a convicted felon and first offender probation and possession of firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes.

•Brenda Kay Beusse, 55, 2605 Duffle Martin Road, Comer, possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA.

•Christopher Paul Dennis, 20, 119 Jack Sharp Road, Hull, theft by taking motor vehicle.

•Sherina Leshay Dunn, 34, 86 Ferndale Court, Hull, driving while license withdrawn.

•Claudia Espinoza, 28, 1495 Hwy. 29 North, Athens, driving without a license and speeding.

•Taylor Allen Hammond, 18, 114 McCarty Dodd Road, Colbert, possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA and drug-related objects.

•Tony Rydell Hare, 39, 1775 East Broad Street, Athens, bench warrant.

•Antonia Jaquise Martin, 19, 121 Deer Creek Drive. Apt. 22, Athens, driving without a license, no insurance, expired vehicle tag or decal or tail lights required.

•Dacey Diane O’Kelly, 17, 75 Peachtree Street, Colbert, driving without headlights when required, no insurance, driving while license withdrawn and driving while tag is suspended.

•Genaro Rebollar Pallares, 28, 1465 Hwy. 29 North, Athens, driving without a license.

•Carlos Ramirez Perez, 28, 171 Woodale Street, Hull, bench warrant.
