A Danielsville woman reported that she was being stalked by a man at her Rogers Mill Road home last week.
According to the incident report, the woman told Deputy Jeff Strickland that a black male driving a white Pontiac Silhouette van came to her residence attempting to sell her some lotion.
After she stated she did not want any lotion, he left, but returned several hours later and parked in her driveway, but did not get out. When her husband went to confront the man, he reportedly left traveling south on Rogers Mill Road. The woman told Deputy Strickland she believes the suspect is the same man who stalked her four years ago in Clarke County.
In another incident, Deputy Chad Parr went to investigate an incident in which a vehicle was parked behind Jot-Em-Down Grocery at the intersection of Drake Woods Road and Joe-Em-Down Road.
The vehicle was occupied by a white male and a female juvenile. Both subjects, who were in the backseat of the vehicle, told the deputy they were “just talking” and were fully clothed. Deputy Parr asked the juvenile if her parents knew where she was and she stated “no.”
He then asked her if she had sneaked out of the house and she said “yes.” Deputy Parr called the girl’s father to come and pick her up. The father stated he did not wish to press charges. The man was told by the girl’s father not to make contact with his daughter and advised by the storeowner not to come back on the property.
First that should have had it's own headline. Then it should have stated the name of the male adult! I don't know about you but I have kids. I am very disappointed that the parents chose not to press charges!! I am disappointed that the police nor the newspaper doesn't care enough to get this information out in detail so that the community knows about the "bad" citizens that live in our neighborhoods. And even worse we don't know exactly who could be behaving in appropriately with our young kids at school, etc. If the parents will NOT step up then someone else needs to!!!! The name of this individual needs to be made public and more people need to get involved. Thank you for your time.
