A Comer man was arrested recently after evading sheriff’s deputies.
Randall Eugene Parham, 41, 3545 Hwy. 98 East, was charged with possession of marijuana, two counts of obstruction of an officer, two counts of fleeing or evading police or roadblock, expired or no driver’s license and driving without a license.
According to the incident report, Lt. Donald Carr received information that Parham’s green Ford Excursion was traveling eastbound on Fred Goss Road, and as Carr and Deputy Michael Moore approached 940 Fred Goss Road, Parham allegedly crossed the westbound lane in front of Moore’s patrol car and drove at a high rate of speed up the driveway and the patrol cars with lights and sirens went up the drive behind him. Parham then turned the Excursion up an embankment and drove through a garden plot before exiting the vehicle at a wooded fence line to escape law enforcement. A passenger in the vehicle confirmed that Parham was the driver and a wrecker service was called to remove the vehicle.
Parham was arrested the following day on outstanding warrants.
