A family violence warrant for battery has been issued for a Carlton man after his wife reported that he assaulted her.
According to the incident report, the warrant was issued for Eddie Hicks, 277 East Paoli Road, after his wife came to the sheriff’s office on March 22 claiming that Hicks had assaulted her at their East Paoli Road home on March 19.
Deputy Matt Pilkington met with the woman, who said that Hicks had put a knife to her throat while they were sitting in the car waiting for the kids to get off the school bus. She pushed the knife away and he then allegedly struck her in the face with his fist and his forearm.
Deputy Pilkington noted that she had bruising on her right eye and left forehead. The victim also stated that Hicks had told her to leave earlier that day (March 22) and that she refused. Hicks allegedly “came at her with a hammer” and at that point she did leave and go to the sheriff’s office.
