A Colbert woman was arrested recently after she allegedly fired a gun into a man’s Hwy. 172 home.
Emma Dianne Sorrow, 48, 1152 Hwy. 172, was charged with one count each of terroristic threats and acts, stalking and reckless conduct.
According to the incident report, a woman on the phone with the victim at the time of the shooting called 911 to report the gunshot. Deputy Douglas Martin responded to the call, arriving at the victim’s home to find that a bullet from a weapon had been fired into the residence, but that the victim was uninjured.
Based on the investigation, warrants were issued and Sorrow was arrested at her residence the following day and taken to the Madison County Jail.
In another arrest, Amanda Nichole Roberts, 23, of 2796 Hardman Morris Road, Colbert, was charged with one count of aggravated assault following an argument with a man at a residence on Meadow Lane.
According to the incident report, Roberts allegedly cut the man with a knife.

•Eric Wells Robertson, 24, 1165 Vista Trail, Atlanta, probation violation.
•Jennifer Lynn Sears, 43, 212 Sherwood Drive, Danielsville, probation violation (original charges: DUI, suspended license, disorderly conduct and seatbelt violation) and bench warrant (original charge: burglary).
•Llewellyn Demarcus Shivers, 21, 1474 East Paoli Road, Carlton, possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA cocaine with intent to distribute.
•Marcus Eugene Tucker, 33, 151 Cross Creek Place, Athens, parole violation and probation violation.
•David Lamar Williams, 50, 116 Ashmore Court, Athens, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, speeding, driving while license withdrawn or suspended/revoked and no insurance.
•Stacy Labrund Allen, 32, 1474 East Paoli Road, Carlton, possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA.
•Dustin Travis Anderson, 20, 7960 Hwy. 72, Colbert, tires, driving without a license, expired vehicle tag or decal and no insurance.
