Notice is hereby given that First Citizens Bank and Trust Company, Inc., 1230 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201 has filed an application with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) for consent to acquire, by merger, Merchants and Farmers Bank of Comer, Georgia, with branches located at 36 Hwy. 72 E, Comer GA, 300 General Daniel Ave., Danielsville, GA, 5440 Commerce Street, Commerce, GA, 9205 Hwy. 29 S, Hull, GA, 9151 Hwy. 29 S, Hull, GA and 35 N Forth St., Colbert, GA. Following the proposed transaction, the Merchants and Farmers Bank branches will operate at these same locations as branches of First Citizens Bank and Trust Company, Inc.
Any person wishing to comment on this application may do so by submitting written comments to the Regional Director (DSC), FDIC at its regional office, 10 Tenth Street, N.E., Suite 800, Atlanta, GA 30309-3906 not later than 30 days after the first publication of the notice. The FDIC will review public comments received before that time. The public file is on file at the regional office and available for inspection in that office during regular business hours. Photocopies of the public file will be made available upon request.
