Hull men arrested on drug charges

Steven Chance Massey, 20, 165 Ed Coile Road, was charged with a probation violation, trafficking in cocaine, illegal drug or marijuana penalties, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA marijuana, illegal possession of a controlled substance Schedule IV alprazolam and drugs to be kept in original container.

Also arrested at the residence was Russell Frank Massey, 29, 165 Ed Coile Road, on one count of possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA marijuana.

According to the incident report, probation officer Ben Nunley requested that two deputies assist him with a search of S. Massey’s residence. During the search, they reportedly found marijuana, several hundred dollars in cash, suspected methamphetamine, digital scales made to look like an iPhone, and alprazolam (a Schedule IV narcotic).

Both were taken to the Madison County Jail.

In another arrest, John Andreas Wagener, 52, 220 Laurel Avenue, Apartment G1, Comer, was charged with obstruction of an officer after he allegedly interfered with an arrest of a person at his home.

According to the incident report, Deputy Jeff Vaughn was attempting to serve an arrest warrant and asked the man where Betty Jean Wagener (the warrant suspect) was. He stated she was not at the residence and gave permission for a search. When asked where she was, he reportedly stated “I wish I knew.” He was reportedly warned that he could be charged with obstruction if he was lying. The warrant suspect, Ms. Wagener, was located in a closet inside a covered plastic tote which had another tote and books on top of it. Mr. Wagener was charged with obstruction for hindering law enforcement during the search.

•Mary Shaconda Dykes, 29, 3355 Hardman Morris Road, Colbert, bench warrant (original charges: possession of cocaine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime).

•Kenneth Maurice Ellis, 23, 138 Cole Ridge Road, Athens, probation violation and failure to appear.

•Tracy Lynn Greene, 44, 221 Williams Wilson Road, Hull, probation violation (contempt warrant).

•Joseph Edward Hitchcock, 22, 3511 Hwy. 106 South, Hull, theft by taking (bondman off bond) and bench warrant (original charge: theft by taking motor vehicle).

•Lois Renee Maddox, 31, 415 Cowart Toole Road, Danielsville, probation violation (original charge: forgery).

•Paul William Klotz, 19, 140 Water Tower Road, Lexington, hold for Oglethorpe County.

•John Mark Shannon, 42, 830 G.W. Wilson Road, Nicholson.

•Bonnie Claire Stith, 27, 2575 Faye Carey Road, Danielsville, when a person is a party to crime, disorderly conduct, battery and probation violation (original charge: forgery in the first degree).

•Franklin Leon Waller, 46, 1970 Lexington-Carlton Road, Carlton, probation violation (original charges: no insurance and driving on a suspended license).

•Quienton Demond Warren, 33, 390 Carroll Avenue, Athens, probation violation (original charge: DUI).

•Joseph Justin Russell Williams, 25, 2430 Danielsville Road, Athens, theft by taking (bondsman off bond).

•Angela Delores Branch, 43, 2275 Waggoner Grove Church Road, Colbert, battery FVA.
