Ila’s city council decided this month that the town will not participate in a county picture graphic map.
The council discussed the matter at its regular council meeting this month, and decided that the $295 required to have Ila City Hall on the county map could be better spent elsewhere.
In other business, council woman Peggy Freeman said she has received several complaints about the overgrown grass at Seward and Mary Adams’s estate on Hwy. 98 within the city limits.
Mayor Mike Coile reported told the council that the unkempt yard is in violation of the city’s ordinances. City attorney Pat Graham was instructed to contact the person in charge of the estate.
Councilman Troy Butler reported that he flushed the city’s water lines on May 30 and that the water had “cleared up fast.” He also told the council that a street light at the city’s maintenance shop needs to be replaced.
What is wrong with you guy's not wanting to participate, I mean be for real is $295.00 going to kill you ?
This is absolutely childish !!!! Acting like a bunch of kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!
