A Florida man was recently sentenced in Madison County Superior Court to one year probation for simple battery under the Family Violence Act.
Mark Quinn Carroll, 51, Hilliard, Fla., was also fined $800 for simple battery under the Family Violence Act (reduced from kidnapping). A charge of terroristic threats and acts was dismissed.
Other actions filed recently in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Madison County include:
•Cheryl Denise Willingham, 44, Colbert, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $135 for theft by taking.
•Keith Thomas Frank, 41, Colbert, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $830 for reckless driving (reduced from DUI alcohol).
•Raymond Henderson, 28, Elberton, was sentenced to one year probation and fined a total of $607 for battery and obstruction of officers.
•Keith Bales, 38, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation and was fined $472 for loitering or prowling. He was also sentenced to one year probation and fined $472 for criminal trespass (reduced from theft by receiving stolen property).
•Hillyer Michael Royston Jr., 23, Comer, was sentenced to one year probation and fined over $850 for obstruction of officers, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, headlight requirements, reckless driving and improper starting of a parked vehicle. A charge of DUI was dismissed.
•Michael Blane Dove, 47, Lavonia, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $472 for criminal trespass (reduced from criminal damage to property in the second degree).
•Zachary James Carroll, 27, Commerce, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $472 for theft by taking. A charge of failure to appear was dismissed.
•Chad Joseph Crumley, 36, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $135 for cruelty to children in the third degree (reduced from a felony cruelty to children charge). A charge of failure to appear was dismissed.
•Charlotte Rebecca Haines, 31, Tucker, was sentenced to one year probation and was fined a total of $270 for giving false information to law officers and speeding. Charges of forgery in the first degree and driving with a suspended license were dismissed.
