What savings? An LPN not RN that makes her own schedule & is paid to take care of inmate medical needs or refer to a doc that can. This LPN puts inmate meds in labeled envelopes & jailers pass them out. What does a jailer no about meds or a reaction? He is not certified to administer medicines!!! Is this even legal? What's she gettin' paid to do????What about the liability & lawsuits? Like the suicide a while back of the man in for not paying his traffic fines. He was on meds, wasn't he? Oh, that's for the taxpayer to suck up! So, what savings and what's it worth to the BOC?
that is what they are taught by the state of Georgia
(Jailor School) Also, do you think it would be cheaper
to higher a full time staff nurse to administer tylenol?
Try pricing some of the companies, i believe you would be
AMAZED at the price, also, i'm pretty sure this nurse has
years of experience dealing with these situations. Sounds
like you must know her, and maybe have a personal grudge
to settle????
so i guess that's where the schedule comes in to play.
Also, it is legal for the jailors to hand out medications,
at least that is what i was taught at the NE GA Police
Academy. Here's a thought: would it be cheaper to pay a
full time staff nurse to hand out meds 12 or 24 hrs per
day 7 days a week for a small jail (or even higher a company)
or pay a part time staff nurse----price it you would be
AMAZED at what you would pay for full time coverage. I think
this blog was by someone who must know the nurse, and must have
something personal against her! And based on the time the b log
was written---i have a pretty good idea who that is!! If you would
like to speak of liability and lawsuits.
all your facts correct. Cause clearly you don't know what you are talking
about.
Get behind the BOC and go to the meetings. If you haven't got the guts to give your views in a meeting, why mouth off here?
