A Nicholson woman was arrested last week for DUI while traveling with three children in her vehicle.
Lea Pauline Briggs, 43, 298 Briarwood Drive, was also charged with three counts of DUI/endangering the life of a child and one count of failure to drive within a single lane.
According to the incident report, Deputy David Kidd observed a white Oldsmobile Delta 88 traveling south on Hwy. 106 South near the intersection of Neese Commerce Road that was weaving over the road several times. As Kidd activated his blue lights to pull her over, Briggs braked hard, backed up and turned into Neese Grocery.
Briggs was unsteady on her feet when she exited the car to speak with Kidd, who noticed she had three children in the car with her. She was arrested at the scene and a relative was summoned to take the children.
Keep up the good work MCSO!
