Three people were arrested on drug charges during the search of a residence at 317 Haggard Drive in the Poca Community.
They were:

•James Steven Buice, 35, 62 Calloway Circuit SW, Conyers, two counts of VGCSA possession of methamphetamine, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, drugs to be kept in original container, possession of Schedule IV narcotic alaparzolam, possession of Schedule II narcotic methadone, crossing the guardline with contraband, possession of Schedule II narcotic hydrocodone and possession of schedule IV narcotic triazolam.
•Hubert Lee Nicolas McElreath, 22, 120 Bob White Trial, Alto, probation violation (original charge: entering auto, etc.)
According to the incident report on file at the sheriff’s office, numerous complaints had been received concerning possible drug sales at the Haggard Drive residence. Three deputies went to the residence on May 10 to conduct a search there. Narcotics, including hydrocodone, alprazolam and methodone were found during the search. Also found in a pink child’s purse hanging over a door frame was a pink sock containing a “clear glass smoking pipe with a black tar residue inside it.” Mr. Buice was also charged with crossing the guardline with contraband (methamphetamine) after a clear plastic bag with a crystal like substance was found in a pocket during a jail intake search.
In another arrest, Autumn Denise West, 25, of 526 Booger Hill Road, Danielsville, was charged with possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCS possession of cocaine, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, failure to drive within a single lane and DUI after deputies were called to assist in a traffic stop on Hwy. 29 South at Neese Diamond Hill Road.
According to the incident report, the reporting officer said he had spotted West’s white Pontiac Sunfire traveling south on Hwy. 29 failing to maintain lane and almost striking another vehicle head on in the northbound lane. The report stated that West “appeared to be under the influence.” During search of the vehicle deputies reportedly found a glass bulb pipe lying in plain sight on the passenger side floorboard. The pipe contained an “off white residue.” Two more glass pipes were in the center console, one with heavy residue. The deputy noted that the pipes are commonly used to ingest crack cocaine.
