A man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident involving a green Isuzu Rodeo at the intersection of Hwy. 29 and Double Branches Road south of Danielsville around 8:30 a.m. Monday.

The driver of the vehicle, whose identity is not yet available, was in critical condition as of lunchtime Monday, according to Michelle Cleveland of Madison County EMS. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

A passenger in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured. The driver of the southbound vehicle lost control and overturned.

I wish someone would write about the July 19 wreck that was on Spratlin mill road.

I hear ya - i thought for sure there would be something in the latest journal - i mean the life flight helicopter was called to the ball park - and from what i hear - there was 7 people involved in this terrible accident - but no mention as to what happened.........nothing in the banner herald either - but that doesn't surprise me.

If you are referring to the 8:30am accident on Monday just south of Danielsville, there were 2 people in the vehicle it was a single vehicle accident. 1 person injured the passenger was fine. He was ejected from the truck after it fish tailed about 4-5 times and rolled over twice ending up facing north. I know this because i saw it happen and called 911; Also I was the first one to him. Anything different you or anyone else may have heard is a BS rumor.

Yeah the info you got is wrong. There were only three people in the truck. One adult, one teen and a small child. They all will live.

That is the one I was referring to, my friend lives just down the road from where it was and we got stopped in traffic coming from his house. My mother works for the doctor that was on trauma call that day but they didn't know the details on what caused the wreck. I don't know who told you there were seven people in the truck, but whoever did was wrong. I don't think seven people could have fit in that truck.

has anybody heard about the young lady who was caught and charged with 55 counts of fraud and charged with stealing $275,000? now everyone knows how shes been doing alot of things lately. she resides in oglethorpe but her grandpa from madison county put up the $100,000 cash bond. hmm?

only three involved in the Spratlin Mill wreck...the 17 year old boy is in Shepherd Spinal Center paralyzed from the neck down and beginning to feel a little in his left arm......the driver last i heard was in Athens Regional...the five year old seems to be doing ok.
