Dear Editor:
My letter concerns the health care debate. No matter which way one leans politically, there is general agreement that our health care system is broken. Some of the best minds from both the right and the left are sounding the alert, telling us that if left unchecked, prices will continue to escalate, and that the number of Americans who cannot afford coverage, already in the millions, will continue to grow.
LETTER: We need both parties working to fix health care

I agree that healthcare in this country needs some changes but not this plan the White House and Congress is pushing! People are waking up finally and pushing back and not just because of scare tactics.

Health Care is a scare tactic. No one thinks about it until they need it. If I drive a car without insurance and get caught I go to jail. I have to keep some limited coverage so society does not have to pay for me not having insurance. Why should health insurance be any different. My 21 year old daughter understands enough about the issue that she went on line and bought a $25 a month catastrophic health insurance policy. She makes min. wage doesn't have a car and no cell phone. She understands there are priorities. If a person can afford a cell phone they can afford health insurance. As a tax payer I am tired of paying for everyone's bad decisions.
