More than $3,000 worth of equipment was stolen from chicken houses on Hwy. 191 recently.
Deputy Dennis Harbison met with the owner, who stated that a number of items were stolen from two chicken houses, including heaters, an air compressor, miter saw, chain saw, electric feed motors and wire, after two padlocks were broken.
In another incident, a man on Strickland Circle reported that his gray 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pick up, valued at $19,000, had been stolen from his yard.
In a third incident, the fire marshal was called to a suspected arson at a vacant home on Elm Road in Carlton. Several incidents of vandalism have been reported at the home, which has been vacant for about a year, according to the incident report.
