Candidates for local offices are required by law to report campaign contributions to the state through the local elections superintendent.
Four candidates in upcoming contested primaries failed to submit campaign contribution disclosure reports by the June 30 deadline. They were Jason Sartain, Marion Cartwright, Dewitt Bond and Bill Usry.

•Clayton Lowe, incumbent Democrat, $16,979.97 in contributions, $7,968.86 in expenditures. Contributions were received from Kip Shepard, $300; Steve Mize, $750; Larry Horne, $200; Mitchell House, 200; Kenneth House, $300; Chris Phelps, $200; Mike Alewine, $1,000; Al Jackson, $1,000; Brian Kemp, $500; Ron Hamby, $500; Jerry Brown, $600 (signs). Contributions of $101 or less totaled $4,629.97.
•Troy Asmus, Democrat, $719.60 cash balance (no contributions to report in the June 30 disclosure report), $2,041.35 in expenditures.
•Kip Thomas, Republican, $5,400 in contributions, $6,843.76 in expenditures. Contributions were received from J. Paul Burroughs, $500; Brenda Strickland Moon, $1,000; Dennis Moon Farms, $1,200; Wayne Neal Chevrolet, $500; Garnett Franklin Watkins, $300; Elaine Lunsford Weeks, $200. Contributions of $101 or less totaled $200.
•Larry Smith, Republican, $200 in contributions; $1,441.84 in expenses. A contribution was received from Craig Hertwig, $200.
•John Dove, Republican, $11,615 in contributions, $11,626.97 in expenses. Contributions were received from Ronnie and Diane Bailey, $1,500; Melissa Dove, $1,500; Kimsey Fitzpatrick, $1,000; Jeff Walker, $1,000. Contributions of $101 or less totaled $6,615.
BOC CHAIRMAN’S CANDIDATES
•Wesley Nash, incumbent Republican, $200 in contributions and $864 in expenditures. A contribution was received from Sara Haygood, $200.
•Anthony Dove, Republican, $4,548 in contributions and $3,436.17 in expenses. Contributions were received from E. Nelson Nash, $200; Larry and Linda Cox, $200; Kenneth Clark, $650; Louie Clark, $200; Lindsay A. Tise Jr., $400, Common Source, $415. Dove reported a loan to himself of $1,779.86.
•Bill Usry, Republican, failed to file campaign contribution disclosure report.

•Stanley Thomas, incumbent Republican, $551.15 in contributions reported, $551.15 in expenses. Thomas contributed $551.15 to his own campaign.
