A Colbert man was arrested after he allegedly struck his girlfriend during an altercation at her duplex apartment on Foote McClellan Road.
Juan Antonio Mederos, 32, 194 Madison Avenue, Colbert, was charged with one count of battery FVA.
In another incident, burglary was reported on Neese-Commerce Road after a woman told deputies that someone broke into her home and stole more than $1,000 worth of coins while she was at church.
