Several incidents of “entering auto” were reported to the sheriff’s office recently.
In one incident, a man who went dove hunting on Stone Creek Drive found his camo-painted shotgun and supplies stolen from his truck.
In a similar incident on Stone Creek Drive, a man went to get into his truck to go to work and found his center console open and three knives missing. A Tom Tom GPS system was also taken from the windshield. A family member’s truck was also found open, but nothing was taken. The vehicles were not locked.
A woman on Finley Drive in Hull reported that her purse had been stolen from under the front seat of her car. Her sister said she heard a noise outside and saw what appeared to be a white male walking down the road. She also saw another man squatting down beside her vehicle in the driveway. Nothing appeared to be missing from that vehicle. The vehicles were not locked.
A woman on Garnett Ward Road reported that she went to get into her car to go to work at approximately 2 a.m. and noticed that her dome light was on and that her glove box was open, but nothing was missing. When she got home her husband told her that someone had gotten into their van and taken $2 in change. The vehicles were not locked at the time of the incident.
In a separate incident, a woman was ordered not to come back to her mother’s residence after a deputy was called to a disturbance at a Norwood Road mobile home.
According to the incident report, the mother stated that her daughter was arguing with her stepfather inside the residence when she threw an object that struck a window, causing it to break. The woman ordered her daughter to leave. Another woman at the scene said the suspect appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or narcotics since she kept bumping into walls and other things. After the suspect left, the two women searched the residence for some prescription medications but could not find them. Deputies located the woman at Morning Side Mobile Home Park and informed her that she could not return to her mother’s residence.
