A Hull man was charged with battery recently following an incident on Grady Drive in Hull.
Salvador Jimenez Almaraz, 42, 208 Grady Drive, was charged with one count each of battery FVA and interference with a 911 call.
According to the incident report, Deputy Josh Smith was dispatched to a 911 hang up call on Grady Drive. When Deputy Smith arrived he found a woman and Almarez at the residence. The woman stated that she was physically abused by Almarez. The deputy noted that she had visible marks and bruising to her right arm near her bicep area.
Almarez was taken to the Madison County Jail.
In another arrest, Charles Samuel Duncan, 56, of 768 Adams Duncan Road, Hull, was charged with one count each of aggravated battery, cruelty to children in the first degree and battery.
According to the incident report, Deputy Klint Segars was dispatched to a Hwy. 98 residence in reference to a female who had been assaulted. Segars found the victim, who was bleeding from the mouth. She told Segars that she was assaulted by an “unknown male” when she went outside to get into her vehicle. Duncan was determined to be the offender.
