Warrants have been issued for two people following an incident on Colbert-Diamond Hill Road recently.
According to the incident report, a deputy was dispatched to Fernwood Drive in Hull to speak with a woman about an assault. The woman told Deputy Matthew Pilkington that the incident began when she took “a bag of pills” off a table at the Colbert-Diamond Hill Road residence when she took a friend there to pick up her clothes. When the woman took the bag to her car, she said she was followed by a man and a woman, whom she identified, and that the man pulled her out of her car and started hitting her. He left her with a swollen black eye and took her car keys. The woman also reportedly struck her.
The man then grabbed the bag of pills and looked inside, saying there was some “meth” missing from the bag. The woman said she was forced to pay the man $400 to get her keys back. She called 911 to report the incident when she arrived back home.
In another incident, a Columbus man was spotted walking down Thomas Road just after midnight Saturday, bleeding. Deputy Wesley Bryant responded to the area, where he found the man, who appeared to be intoxicated and stumbling as he walked. The man reportedly leaned against the patrol car while Bryant interviewed him about his injury. He told the deputy that he was hit by a liquor bottle, a fist and piece of wood. He ended his statement by saying he had been hit with “everything.” Bryant noted a knot and a cut on top of the man’s head, though the man could not tell him who, or where, he had been hit. EMS arrived and took him to a hospital for treatment.
