Man charged with theft, speeding

George Willie Jarrells, 65, 450 Minish Road, was charged with theft by receiving stolen property, speeding in excess of maximum limits, driving while license withdrawn, removing or affixing a license plate with intent to conceal or misrepresent, no proof of insurance, operation of unregistered vehicle or a vehicle without current license plate revalidation decal and probation violation.

According to the incident report, deputy Joshua Smith pulled Jarrells over in a white Ford Ranger after he spotted him going 65 in a 45 mph speed zone on Jot-em-Down Road at Drake Woods Road. During the stop, it was determined that Jarrells’ license was suspended and that he had no insurance. The vehicle was found to have an incorrect license plate and was listed as stolen by Gainesville Police Department.

In another incident, a Hull man was arrested after he reportedly crashed his car on Hwy. 29 at Holman Autry Road.

James Glenn Segars, 23, 1226 Spratlin Mill Road, was charged with DUI/alcohol and weaving over the roadway.

According to the incident report, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle accident about 3:30 a.m. on March 5, where they found a tan Buick off the road and down a small embankment. Segars was reportedly out of the vehicle and walking around. Segars, who the deputy noticed had glassy eyes and a strong odor of alcohol, said he had swerved to miss several deer.

•Rodney Antwon David, 35, 5404 Hwy. 191, Comer, probation violation and failure to appear.

•Clayton Richard Dickson, 27, 886 Bullock Mill Road, Danielsville, probation violation.

•Larry Gaddis, 47, 1211 Hwy. 98 West, Danielsville, 47, two counts of probation violation.

•Jack Gerado Harper, 24, 45 Council Street, Hull, disorderly conduct.

•Elizabeth King Hartley-Brooks, 27, 117 Acorn Road, Colbert, theft by taking.

•Wayne Mathew Henderson, 41, 111 Hawks Court, Nicholson, probation violation.

•Joe Nathan Lewis, 47, no address given, Rayle, driving while license withdrawn and possession of marijuana.
