Danielsville man charged with theft
A Danielsville man was charged with theft recently after an aunt reported her wallet missing.
Ronnie Dwayne Bales, 27, 1479 Macedonia Church Road, was charged with theft by taking and financial transaction card theft.
According to the incident report, the woman said Bales and his girlfriend came to her home on Bellhaven Lane looking for some “pills.” After the woman reportedly told the couple she didn’t have any pills, they left. She later discovered her purse unzipped and her wallet missing.
While en route to Bales’ home, Deputy Jason Luke received a call to back up another deputy at a fight at a store in Danielsville. When he arrived, he found Bales, who had been involved in the fight. Once that incident was resolved, Luke asked Bales about the wallet and he said he didn’t know anything about it. His girlfriend however, told a different story. She stated that Bales had taken the wallet and that they used it at a gas station and then at Wal mart to buy two cell phones. Bales was then arrested.

•Enrique Solis Cortes, 25, 745 Hannah Heights, Hull, was charged with driving without a license and child or youth restraint not used properly after he went though a safety checkpoint in Hull. He reportedly told the officer he didn’t have a license and had “never had one.” A small child was also found in the vehicle, unrestrained in a child safety seat.
•Taylor Allen Hammond, 20, 114 McCarty Dodd Road, Colbert, illegal possession or a controlled substance and obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers.
•Howard Lester Blackwell, 51, 82 J.S. Williams Court, Nicholson, simple battery and false imprisonment.
•Travis Lee Conwell, 40, 373 Transco Road, Comer, possession of a controlled substance with intent, unlawful to possess, control, manufacture, deliver, distribute, etc., possession of a firearm or knife during certain crimes, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and criminal use of article with altered ID.
