Hull couple faces drug charge
A Hull couple was arrested recently after officers executed a search warrant at their Planter Gunnell Road home.
Brian K. Moore, 33, and Rebecca A. Tatum, 30, both of 1008 Planter Gunnell Road, were each charged with one count of illegal possession of a controlled substance.
According to the incident report, Madison County deputy Scott Pulliam went to assist a Hart County investigator with a search of their home. As Pulliam was searching the master bedroom, he reportedly found what appeared to be a C or D cell battery that had a “false bottom.” When he unscrewed the bottom, he found a clear plastic baggie that contained an off white substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Also found was a spoon with an off white crystal residue all over it, along with numerous used syringes and needles.
Both Moore and Tatum were arrested at the scene and taken to the Madison County Jail for booking.
