Danielsville man charged with battery
A Danielsville man was arrested recently after he reportedly threw grease on a woman’s face and punched her in the back of the head during a domestic dispute.
Timothy Eugene Couch, 47 109 Transco Road, was charged with one count of simple battery.
In another incident, a Hull man was charged with family violence after officers were summoned to his home on Wrigley Court due to a domestic dispute.
Wayne Wesley Moore, 38, 200 Wrigley Court, was arrested and charged with battery and two counts of cruelty to children. According to the report, his wife told officers that her husband broke a chair over her back, pushed her in the closet and hit her in the stomach in front of two children. The woman had bruises on a leg and arm. When the officer told the woman that he would be taking out warrants for Moore’s arrest, the woman said she did not want him locked up, she just wanted him gone and changed her story about the incidents. Moore reportedly was found at his mother’s home and taken into custody. He denied hitting his wife, but did admit to arguing in front of the children, according to the report.
Other incidents on file at the sheriff’s office recently included:
•A woman on Eugene Hardman Road reported that a man she has a child with called her approximately 10 times by phone, reportedly telling her that she’ll “be taken care of” and that he will come and get their child. She also stated that she fears for her and her child’s safety around him. She was advised of the warrant and TPO process.
•A woman on Three Rivers Court reported that her cell phone had been stolen, possibly by her son.
•A storage building at Main Street Storage in Comer was allegedly broken into. A toolbox, drill and miscellaneous tools were reportedly taken.
•A 9mm semi-automatic pistol was reportedly stolen from a home on Gosnell Hutto Road by prying open the door of a storage building.
•A woman on McCannon Morris Road reported that her gray pit bull was taken after she let it out to go to the bathroom.
•A woman on Del Cedar Lane reported that her ex-boyfriend allegedly broke in her front door to get his belongings.
•A woman on Belhaven Lane reported that her ex-boyfriend pushed her and called her an obscenity during an argument in which they both had been drinking. She stated that she did not want her boyfriend to go to jail or to get a TPO.
•An officer was called to Buddy Moore Road due to an argument over a tanning bed that a renter was attempting to leave with. The landlord said the renter has not paid any money on the tanning bed and the woman says she paid $25 per month per their agreement, but that her landlord would no longer accept payments. They were both informed of the civil process.
•A woman on Creekwood Drive in Hull said that a man got mad at her for a text on her cell phone and threw a car battery at the bedroom window, breaking it. The man also allegedly broke her cell phone.
•A couple on Jot-Em-Down Road said an ex-employee called and stated “it’s on.” The man was reportedly fired several months ago. The man’s father also reportedly called and attempted to get her husband to come to his house so the two could “settle the problem.” They wanted a report filed in case the harassment continues.
•Burglary was reported at a home on Hwy. 72 East.
•An AMP was reportedly taken from a truck on Sorrow Patterson Road.
•Someone attempted to pay for items at the Shell Food Mart on Hwy. 29 South with a counterfeit $20 bill.
•Copper tubing and electrical wiring were reportedly taken from a mobile home on Madison Boulevard.
•Burglary was reported on Donald Bridges Road when a caretaker reported several items missing and graffiti on the walls throughout the home.
•Counterfeit currency was reported at the Golden Pantry on Hwy. 29 South.
•Someone on James Spring Road reported that someone had opened the gates to his pasture and let all of his cows out. All of the cows, except for an Angus bull and cow, had been located.
•A man on Bond’s Lake Road reported that someone stole his mother’s identity and made several purchases using her credit card information.
•A man on Willis Glenn Road reported that someone reportedly purchased two cars in Tennessee with his name and information. He found out about the fraud when the Georgia Department of Revenue contacted him about $400 in back taxes.
•Someone on Shirley Road reported that there were two fraudulent charges on his bank statement that occurred at a Chicago department store.
•A domestic dispute between a mother and her teenage daughter were reported on Jot-Em-Down Road.
•Weaving over the roadway and driving without a license were reported on Hwy. 72 at Yarbrough Road.
•A man on Duffell Martin Road reported that a suspicious person visited his home last week. According to the report, the man, driving a white Lexus car with a tan stripe down both sides, came to his home while he was away and his wife and child were there. The man reportedly gave his wife a pink document and told her he was with a bank. The document had her husband’s name, a bank name, a contact name and a phone number. When she asked him what his name was he reportedly told her it was “irrelevant” and said he was told to come to the house and take a photo of it. He was also reportedly asking for information about the vehicles they owned. The man was described as six feet tall and in his late 50s or early 60s wearing khaki pants and a button up shirt, with a tape measure on his side. There was also a white female in the passenger seat who did not get out of vehicle. The wife called the contact number and asked for the person listed on the sheet, but was told no one worked there by that name. The complainant said he would contact the bank again the next day.
•Someone reported that their vehicle was damaged on Grady Lane in Danielsville. A 2001 Ford Taurus had two dents on the right front and rear fenders. A “New Balance” shoe print was found in each dent, clearly marked by pollen.
•Mailboxes were damaged on Forest Trail.
•Disorderly conduct was reported at the recreation department. A woman there said she has had “unpleasant chance meetings” with another woman over the last few years, and had another one at the recreation department that day. She provided a written statement and was advised of the warrant and TPO process.
•A prescription bottle of medication was reportedly taken from a home on Edgewood Drive.
•A stereo/CD player was reportedly taken from a Ford Mustang parked at a home on Cornelia Drive.
•An air conditioning unit was reportedly stolen from a home on Spratlin Mill Road.
•Someone on Veteran’s Drive reported the theft of a necklace.
•A silver Ford F-250 and a goose neck trailer reported stolen out of Athens-Clarke County were reportedly located on Hwy. 106 South in Morningside Mobile Home Park. A man at the location said another man brought the vehicles there to sell and that when they heard they were stolen, they called 911 to report it.
•A lawnmower was reportedly stolen from a shelter next to a house on South Fourth Street.
•A missing person was reported on Shoal Creek Road. A man said his wife is upset about their pending divorce and left their home the previous night. He was concerned for her safety and a look out was posted.
•An affray was reported at Morningside Mobile Home Park on Hwy. 106 South involving a fight over stolen cigarettes.
