In District 2, incumbent John Pethel will face a challenge from fellow Republican Johnny Wayne McLendon.
In District 3, incumbent Mike Youngblood will be challenged by fellow Republican Allen W. Hart.
In District 5, incumbent Bruce Scogin will face a challenge from fellow Republican Jim Escoe.
No Democrats entered the BOC district races. Qualifying for those seats ended at noon (today) April 30.

Non-Partisan Qualifying
Apart from the three BOC posts up for election, county school board seats in districts one and two, as well as the magistrate judge’s seat, are up for grabs. But those are non partisan posts.
Qualifying for non-partisan offices will open at 9 a.m., Monday, June 28, and close at noon Friday, July 2. Non-partisan positions will appear on the Nov. 2 General Election ballot. These candidates will qualify in the office of the election superintendent at the Madison County Government Complex.
