A Hull woman was arrested recently after allegedly taking a machete to her live-in boyfriend.
Angela Delores Branch, 45, 235 Bryant Wood Drive, was charged with one count each of aggravated assault and cruelty to children in the third degree.
According to the incident report from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Officer Michael Moore was dispatched to a Waggoners Church Road residence about a domestic call and met with a man who said his girlfriend had struck him in the lower leg with a machete and then tried to cut him with a kitchen knife. Ms. Branch was arrested at the scene and taken to jail.
In another incident, a Danielsville man was arrested on family violence charges after officers were called to his residence recently.
Jeffery Jason Casper, 35, 41 Racetrack Road, Danielsville, was charged with battery FVA after he reportedly struck his wife during a domestic dispute.
Other incidents on file included:
•A domestic dispute was reported on Williams Wilson Road after two roommates got into a fight over property when one of them decided to move out. The officer at the scene informed them that any property in dispute would have to be settled through magistrate court.
•Someone in an aqua and white two-tone GMC truck reportedly ran into the Quick Pick Convenience Store on Hwy. 72 at Foote McClellan Road causing damage to it.
•A woman on Amberly Lane reported that someone in a light-colored van had thrown nails and screws onto her driveway.
•A woman on Carrie Lane reported that she and her 17-year old daughter got into an altercation and that the daughter pushed her before jumping out her bedroom window and running away on foot.
•Tools were reportedly stolen from a home being remodeled on Hwy. 29 South.
•Someone on Piedmont Road reported that a Poulan riding tractor had been stolen and that someone had also left a bag of mulch and an electric weedeater in his garage.
•A red 2004 Ford F-350 was reportedly stolen from a Hwy. 98 West location.
•A child was reportedly bitten by a dog on Elm Road. Animal control took custody of the dog.
•Battery was reported on Morgan Road.
•Someone on Shady Lane reportedly found a large amount of roofing nails in their driveway.
•A series of false 911 calls were reported on Belhaven Lane.
•Someone reported their Apple iPhone stolen by someone they know at a location on Hwy. 29 South.
•Simple battery was reported on Sweet Gum Alley.
•Someone on Friendship Church Road reported that their First Citizen’s Visa card had been compromised.
•Someone allegedly stole a white Ford E-150 van with “Best Plumbing” printed on the side from in front of a shop on Collins Dudley Road.
•A pistol was allegedly stolen from a home on Martin Griffeth Road.
•Musical equipment was reportedly stolen from Living Waters Holiness Church.
•A Playstation and firearms were reported missing from a home on Hwy. 29 South.

I would think this relationship would be over after being attacked with a machete but what I don't get is where did the cruelty to children in the third degree come in? Was her live in boyfriend under 18? The story didn't say nothing about no children.
