Madison Co. drivers fight to fantastic finish at Lavonia

Two of Madison County’s finest drivers Stanley Hill, Ila, and Robin Collins, Colbert, had the most exciting race of the weekend in the Hobby class at Lavonia Speedway.

These two veterans brought fans to their feet cheering, as they rubbed fenders coming off turn four to take the checkered flag. Hill managed to retain his slight lead over Collins as he crossed the finish line.

But Collins did grab a win over the weekend, taking the top spot in the Enduro division.

Another strong performance from a Madison County driver came from Danielsville’s Brandon Parsons, who finished third in the Four Cylinders race.

This Friday at Lavonia Speedway, there will be a $500 Enduro championship race, along with a bicycle race for children 15 and under.
