absolute refusal to listen to others in Washington and the public/voters. They have this perception that they are all knowing and
there is no discussion as to their decisions.
I think the state of AZ is well within their
rights in protecting themselves. They asked the Federal Govt., for help and they refused. To me their action was the only one open to them.
The Fed's should be ashamed and hide their face for approving the $1.5 million dollar PER
MILE FENCE they were told time and again would
not work. They keep building! Some friendly
fat-cat friends are getting filthy rich and we
are getting illegals as always.
I sent a suggestion for a fence system that would work at a hell of a lot less cost and
put hundreds of people to work at the same time. Not one person had the courtesy to reply. Apparantly, money is no problem.
I am afraid there is more to the problems in
Washington they we know about. And this is
frightening. WE need to find out what Obama is
hiding!
If our current administration (and past) would have done their job this would be a non-issue. Article IV, Section 4 of the US Constitution says The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.
Since we have a completely incompetent congress and executive branch, Arizona decided to do their job for them. It is despicable, sad and beyond the pale that our gov't would take legal action against the State of Arizona.
Most of the citizens' descendants of the US were immigrants. People in general are not against immigration but are against illegal immigration. For those on the left, the key word is illegal. The real slap is to the people who have immigrated legally.

I agree completely with the remainder of your comment as evidenced by #1. I don't recall any prior
President, his Administration and Elected Officials
being out of touch with the public/voters as the current group. I am of the opinion that something is
going on that we don't know about yet that is surely responsible for the wrong course (road) we are being led. It is freightening! Perhaps just as
bad, this group absolutely refuses to listen, they
will not counter harmful accusations made against them and Glenn Beck is cleaning their clock and

In my opinion it is just an expansion of the Executive Branch and increases the ever expanding unconstitutional usurpation of
power not granted to the Executive Branch and does absolutely show signs of reducing us to absolute despotism !
Such power could only be of use to Tyrants or Dictators and in no way should be excepted by the American people .

I don't believe that any US Citizen has threatened violence against the illegal immigrants or been violent to them .
How ever I have seen the violent Latino protesters throwing rocks and attacking our border agents and our police and the Minute Men as well as our own Citizens. Kind of like the Black Panthers threaten to kill whites and white babies . So why is it white people get the wrap for being racists? Not all whites are from the same country.
Why are all whites grouped together while others get minority status by claiming their race from country of origin? White skinned people are from different countries around the world also .Why does the Census not count them the same way? Some whites are even from Africa.

There aren't any problems with the U.S. economy. If you actually traveled anywhere outside your back yard in the U.S. you would know how good you have it. People in the U.S. don't know what a "recession" is, much less a "bad economy" or a "depression." That so many in the U.S. think the economy is "bad" because they can't keep living the high life and not working is laughable. Think the economy is bad? Look around at all the restaurants and bars and satellite dishes and cell phones! "Boo-hoo, the economy is bad, but I still got $50 / month to pay for satellite TV and time to stay parked in front of it!"
Why don't you go down to the hospital and see exactly who is there with no insurance and can't pay? Easily 90% are LEGAL, U.S. CITIZENS. Most of 'em are WHITE. You will probably see a lot of people you know down there because no one has insurance and those that do get canceled when they use it. See "U.S. has no health care system" above. An employee who works in the ER for ARMC confirmed what anyone can observe. On top of that, she said the Latinos are about the only people who come to the ER prepared to PAY for their services and actually PAY THEIR BILLS. Illegals may be the only people hospital staff are HAPPY to see.
Construction jobs: if you work in construction you know you have chosen probably the most unstable, unreliable career path one can choose. I think some people thought the crazy housing boom would go on forever. Well, there's a lesson for you. Not only could it not last long, but the boom and all the people who became "contractors" overnight and started building houses and thought every pasture in Madison County was going to be the next Reynolds Plantation are the very people who KILLED the housing market for probably at least the next decade, likely much longer. Illegals didn't cause that problem, the greedy developers, contractors, realtors, speculators, suppliers and "home investors not homebuyers" killed the market that, had they not been so greedy, would have grown slowly and sustainably over time like a big strong tree. Funny, no one had a problem with illegals when they were digging the ditches your "friends in construction" weren't willing to dig for the houses they were building.
Relentlessly we hear how the U.S. is about free market, capitalism, competition and all the rest of a failed belief system, but when some folks are willing to work harder and do more work and get the job, suddenly it isn't about free market competition anymore. It's not "fair." You want the entire world to follow capitalism, free markets and competition? Well, get ready to have your back yard mentality effectively erased and get ready to find out what it's like to compete with the big wide world...the rest of the world that actually KNOWS what economic hardship REALLY IS and KNOWS what WORK means. Hate to tell you, but some of the legal, U.S. citizen softies don't stand a chance in this "competition."

1- I don't care who is on welfare if they are legal U.S. citizens. There are plenty of cases of illegals receiving benefits,look it up.
2- The construction workers I was referring to are painters and sheet rockers,not contractors. They didn't lose their jobs to harder workers,they were lost to people who would worked for half the wages. People who shared a double-wide with 30 others who slept on the floor so that they could save their income to send to another country. Try competing with that.

Well, now you're getting somewhere. U.S. Border patrol estimates 12-15 million "illegal immigrants" in the U.S. That's 12-15 MILLION human beings. OK, you want to enforce the law. That requires locating, arresting, processing, providing due process for, housing, feeding, and eventually transporting 15 million people. Oh, and when the legal citizen child of 2 deported illegal immigrants loses his/her parents, you will have to pay to support that child via the welfare you apparently don't want to pay for until that legal citizen is 18. Need I go further? You say you are opposed to people on welfare, but your "solution" would increase the welfare rolls 10-fold. You are a good 30 years too late to wage the battle you so desperately wish to wage. It's not possible to arrest 15 million people, much less house, process and deport them all. If you started today and accomplished the phenomenal, unachievable feat of deporting 100,000 human beings a year, it would still take ONE HUNDRED FIFTY YEARS.
Part of your question, "Is it ok to punish Legal US citizens for breaking the Laws..." is makes for a useful analogy. Legal citizens break the laws everyday. Let's take speeding for example. When one speeds or commits other traffic misdemeanor offenses, one can actually be put in jail for 6 months to 1 year. Does that mean that the most effective way to deal with traffic offenses is to give everyone who commits those crimes 6 months or a year in jail? Are you willing to pay at least quadruple the amount of tax you pay now just to get started?
Clearly you don't want to consider the big picture, but we reap what we sow. Consider this: why is it that our Mexican neighbors immediately to the south, one of only 2 of our absolute closest American neighbors, have endured REAL economic hardship and utter poverty while the U.S. has become and continues to be the wealthiest nation on earth with easily the most spoiled citizenry in the history of humankind? Could the U.S. have perhaps assisted our neighbor and seen them as something other than cheap labor and resources to be exploited? Why do you think so many countries south of the border have willingly chosen and democratically elected non-capitalist systems and leaders, many of whom were only deposed by unconstitutional U.S. financed coups and assassinations? Is this our message of freedom and democracy? To assassinate democratically elected leaders? Again, just some points to ponder. Perhaps if we had invested wisely in our brothers and sisters to the south and shared the wealth then we would have no illegal immigration today. Perhaps we would have more customers for our products and services as well.
Clearly you wish to continue to be divided and ruled by that 2% who control 98% of wealth and resources. That is your choice. But you have effectively answered your own concerns about illegal immigration and any solutions to the problem with your question I have quoted above. Should the laws be enforced? Should all illegal immigrants be deported? Perhaps. But unfortunately for you and those who share your views, or even those who don't share your views and really do want to put every traffic speeder away for a year, your war is already over and the illegal immigrants already won. Crunch some numbers and see what it would cost in new jails and manpower to locate, arrest, and deport 15 million people. It's not even remotely possible. All the manpower and troop mobilizations COMBINED in U.S. history pale in comparison. And that's assuming no citizens are mistakenly caught up in the process (gee, that would never happen, right?) and that every case proceeds smoothly and no mistakes were made (right, that doesn't happen either!).
And I haven't even mentioned the philosophical arguments entailed. Such as the creation of a police state that would be required to even begin enforcement where all citizens would be required to carry and produce upon demand at all times all documents demonstrating citizenship. Hey, hope you have your papers when you're fishing and swimming down on the river or YOU may be sitting down at the local ICE jail hoping someone believes what your story. But, no need to address the philosophical arguments, as fun as that can be, because the reality is arresting 15 million people simply cannot be done. And again, to carry out enforcement would require you to pay at least 4 times (really, if you crunch the numbers it's probably at least 10 times) the income tax you currently pay. Are you ready to put your money where your hate, uh, belief in "law enforcement" is?

Also, on a side note: Please read a little more about WORLD history; by the time of the revolutionary war, Great Britain was a parliamentary government with little power provided by the monarchy. The subjects of the colonies referred to him as the "tyrant" because he was the de jure head of state; however the parliament was the de facto ruler (just as they are now). The colonist paid much lower taxes than their cousin in England. The reason that they paid any tax at all was because of the continued westward expansion by the colonists. The British Government set a line for the western frontier (Proclamation Line)of the colonies and told the colonists that the border was as far as they could provide troops to protect the colonists. The colonist went beyond that border and then when they were attacked by Native Americans, they complained that they should have been protected by British troops. Parliament decided that if they had to continue providing troops to defend colonists that refused to stay on the east side of the frontier border, they would have to foot some of the bill to house and support those troops.
