As the holiday season approaches we begin to think about what that means.
Holidays are about sharing with our neighbors and our families. Mealtime is one of the ways we do that. In years gone by Carmine’s Pizza Time in Comer has hosted a Thanksgiving meal to help those who are alone, in need, elderly, or disabled have a place to share a meal and focus on what the holiday season is all about. This year, Colbert First Baptist would like to continue this tradition by inviting you and your family to join us for a Thanksgiving Meal.
On Nov. 20, Colbert First Baptist will host a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings from noon until 2 p.m. We will prepare 300 plates, so please call our church office to reserve your plates at 706-788-2214. Dine-in or carry out will be available. In order to allow us to help as many as possible, plates will be limited to six per household.
If you have helped with this very important ministry before and would like to continue please also call the church office. Volunteers as well as donations will be needed to make this all happen.
Once again, please accept our invitation to join us for Thanksgiving dinner. The deadline for reservations will be Nov. 5, so call 706-788-2214 to reserve your plate. We look forward to seeing you.
