The fair is gone, but the fun isn’t.
The 10th annual Danielsville Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Danielsville Memorial Park in downtown Danielsville near the county government complex.
The Madison County Boy Scout Troop #377 will conduct the opening ceremonies at 9 a.m.
There will be live entertainment all day, with the Holman-Autry Band, the Crossroad Singers, Karlie Dobbs and Tom Harmon. The Madison County Cruisers will also host a cruise-in from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For cruise-in information, call 706-795-2645.
There will also be a moon walk, barbecue, boiled and roasted peanuts, train rides, stew, jewelry, funnel cakes, a duck pond, raffle drawings, pony rides, crafts and lemonade.
City clerk Connie Riley said 50 vendors had signed up as of Monday, but she said she expected approximately 80 to sign up by Saturday.
Riley said the city will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the festival with a large cake that will be served for free around noon for as long as the cake lasts.
