A man and woman from Bishop were arrested after allegedly using counterfeit bills at a Madison County yard sale recently.
According to reports from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Dawn McCurry, 37, 1501 Lane Creek Drive, and David Carter Shallow of the same address, reportedly used a counterfeit $20 bill to purchase a gold floor lamp, a white/chrome toaster oven and a pair of blue jeans.
McCurry faces two counts of forgery in the first degree, 17 counts of forgery in the second degree and one count of possession of a schedule I controlled substance. Shallow was charged with two counts of forgery in the first degree and three counts of forgery in the second degree.
Other arrests filed at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office this past week include:
•Joshua Eugene Alexander, 29, 25 Poplar Ave., Lavonia, two counts of forgery in the first degree.
•Rita Audrey Caldwell, 51, 1141 Rose Drive, Watkinsville, probation violation.
•Tricia Michele Coile, 32, 238 Laural Lane, Stephens, possession of a schedule I controlled substance.
•Patrick Earl Daniel, 19, 250 Albert Drive, Colbert, burglary, order to incarcerate, reckless conduct, two counts of obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers, failure to appear and criminal damage to property.
•James David Parsons, 41, 3250 Hwy. 29S Lot C-2, Colbert, prescription drugs not in original container and sale, distribution, or possession of dangerous drugs.
•Michael Dewayne Parsons, 40, 3250 Hwy. 29S Lot C-2, Colbert, prescription drugs not in original container and sale, distribution, or possession of dangerous drugs.
•Jose Aguilar Ponta-Leon, 27, 192 Swamp Guinnea Road, Colbert, driving without a license and weaving over roadway.
•Christopher Ryan Pruitt, 39, 4382 Jot Em Down Road, Danielsville, order to incarcerate.
•Clifford Danny Samples, 26, 142 Grady Drive, Hull, failure to appear.
•Jeffery Thomas, 37, 356 Garnett Ward Road, Hull, enter auto or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony.
•Todd Stanley Walsh, 37, 762 Rogers Church Road, DUI, speeding and weaving over roadway.
•Dennis James Wilson, 47, 608 River Side Court, Danielsville, failure to appear.
