Danielsville man charged with battery
A Danielsville man was arrested recently following a physical altercation with his wife at their home.
Phillip Daniel Dixon, 37, 1727 Holman Autry Road, was charged with battery FVA and obstruction.
According to the incident report, officers arrived following a 911 call from the residence to find Dixon standing in the yard next to his truck. As one of the officers approached, Dixon reportedly told him to “take him to jail.” When asked what was going on he said he and his wife were arguing and fighting and that she had hit him in the face and that he had thrown her to the ground. The officer noted he could smell alcohol on Dixon’s breath.
The victim said Dixon had gotten drunk and passed out. When he woke up he reportedly asked her if they had had sex. She told him “no” and he became angry and yelled at her to get out. She got up and started putting on her shoes and he grabbed them from her. He then allegedly grabbed her by the hair and threw her into the fireplace. She got up and ran into the bedroom to call 911. He followed her and threw her to the ground, she said. They then fought for the phone and she got it and dialed 911. He canceled the call, she said, and threw the phone. She got the phone again and called 911 while lying on it with him pulling her hair. She said that when he saw the call connect, he stopped, got off of her and got dressed. Photos were taken of her injuries and he was taken to jail as he requested.
