Keep Madison County Beautiful recently donated $28,000 from proceeds from the sale of scrap metal and appliances to the Madison County 4-H Club for their operations.
“These funds were raised by the efforts of the local community, Keep Madison County Clean and Beautiful and the Madison County Transfer Station by having scrap metal and appliances recycled at the recycling center,” Varnadoe said.
Chairman Dove said this is one of the easiest ways the community can support Madison County’s 4-H youth program.
“Anyone with scrap metal should take to the Madison County Transfer Station,” Dove said. “Not only is it the right thing to do environmentally but also the proceeds of the metal sales goes directly to our youth.”
Bravo!
