Hull man stabs mother over sick dog
A Hull man was arrested recently after allegedly stabbing his mother in the arm with a pocketknife.
Fisher Ellington III, 30, 644 Thomas Road, was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.
According to the incident report, officer Bradley Free went to Athens Regional Medical Center last week to meet with Ellington’s mother, where she told him her son had come in around 5 a.m. very intoxicated. She told him their dog was sick and in the bedroom. After he looked at the dog, he told her it was her fault the dog was sick and came at her yelling he was going to kill her and stabbed her in the left arm with a pocketknife. Officers found Ellington on the back porch of the residence and placed him under arrest. Ellington allegedly told the officers that he was sorry about what he did to his mother and that he loved her. He said he remembered stabbing her and that he was drunk during the incident. Due to the nature of the incident, two firearms at the residence were collected for safekeeping and the knife was taken as evidence.
Other incidents on file at the sheriff’s office recently included:
•A man on Sammie Haggard Road reported that several car parts were stolen from a field behind his shop.
•Cruelty to children and battery were reported on Amberly Drive when a DFACS worker reported that a 12-year-old male had been struck in the head with a belt buckle by someone who lives at the same address. DFACS removed the child and placed him with a foster parent.
•A man on Stoneridge Drive reported that a neighbor had threatened him with a machete when he went to retrieve his dog off the man’s front porch. The neighbor countered that when he opened his door the man had a big rock in his hand and began threatening him, so he stepped back inside and grabbed his machete and the two got into an argument.
•A man on Second Avenue reported that he was almost hit by a firefighter driving recklessly while en route to the fire department. He wanted to file a report so he could follow up with the fire chief.
•A stereo, woofers and amp system were taken from a vehicle on Crawford W. Long Street.
• A Tappan heat pump and copper wiring were reportedly taken from a home on Hwy. 106 South.
•Warrants have been issued for a man after he allegedly struck his sister in the face during an argument at their Duncan Swindle Road home.
•A woman on Osley Mill Road reported that her juvenile son and a juvenile female had been sending obscene text pictures of their bodies to each other. She said she had talked to the mother of the girl the last time she witnessed the girl sending obscene pictures and told her she would notify the sheriff’s office if it happened again. She reported she is also having a hard time controlling her son and wanted him charged with being unruly. School resource officer Mark Jerome charged both juveniles with electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor and the boy was also charged with being unruly.
•A man reported that he saw a white male take something from his unlocked pick up while he was in the Veteran’s Clinic on Hwy. 29 South. When he went outside to confront the man, he said the man walked into the woods behind a house and he found that his Samsung cell phone was missing from the truck.
•Financial transaction card fraud was reported by a woman on Norwood Circle who said that someone in Folsom California had used her account to pay their Verizon wireless bill.
•A flat bed trailer was reportedly stolen from an old house on Peach Orchard Road sometime during the month of February.
•Scrap metal was reportedly taken from the bed of a pick up truck in Piedmont Park.
•A woman on Mt. Zion Road reported that someone had taken her dog from its chain in her yard. She said she had recently filed a report about someone shooting the dog with a pellet gun and believes the same person (her landlord) is the one who did something with her dog. The officer noted the chain had not been pulled, yet it was piled up as though someone had laid it on the ground after removing the dog.
•Burglary was reported on Fleeman Brown Road. A man there said he has had a number of items taken over the past several months, most recently a chainsaw from a barn, and believes a former employee may be responsible. He said he saw a green van pulled in behind his house near his barn with two occupants inside it recently.
•A man came to the sheriff’s office to report a battery that had occurred on Friendship Church Road two days before. He said that he and his girlfriend, aged 17, had been lying on his bed tickling each other in a playful manner when she “flipped out” and struck him in the face. He said she continued to hit him with her car keys in her hand and that he placed her on the ground to keep her from harming him anymore. She then reportedly gathered her things and left the residence. He told the officer he was concerned that problems may occur at school, since they have the same lunch schedule. He was explained the TPO and warrant process and was told that the school resource officer would be notified of the situation.
•Marijuana was found inside a male student’s book bag at the MCHS alternative school during a tobacco search.
•A woman in Strickland Mobile Home Park on Irvin Kirk Road reported that her ex-husband started an argument and threw some of her things in the bedroom causing damage to them and the trailer floor. She also stated that he had also threw an office chair against the living room wall breaking the chair and damaging the paneling. Later in the day, she reported that he had been calling her cell phone, sending text messages and calling the house number almost non-stop asking if he could come back inside the house. She said she told him that he could not. Three deputies made three separate searches for the suspect. The woman said during the last search that she thought he might be hiding in the pasture across from some mini-storage buildings or that he may have climbed a tree in the area. She was explained the TPO, warrant and eviction process.
•A sleeper sofa and a high chair were reportedly stolen from a vacant residence on Forest Lane.
•A driver safety check point was conducted at the intersection of Friendship Church Road and Macedonia Church Road with 49 vehicles being checked, resulting in one failure to appear warrant from Athens-Clarke County.
•A Colbert mail carrier reported that a large dog on Swamp Guinea Road has been attacking her vehicle and trying to attack her while she delivers the mail. The animal reportedly left deep scratch marks and bite marks on the front bumper.
•Harassing phone calls were reported by someone on Watson Mill Road after a man said an unknown male caller kept calling him, at first asking for help and saying he had just come out of jail and later making lewd statements. The officer said he would subpoena the victim’s phone service provider for a list of incoming calls for that time frame.
•Possible child molestation was reported on Laurel Avenue in Comer by a DFACS caseworker.
•Copper wiring was reportedly stolen from a chicken house on Jot-Em-Down Road last week. The victim stated this is the second time one of his houses has been burglarized.
•Harassing phone calls were reported on Stone Ridge Drive last week after a woman there said she had been receiving calls from a man who said he had recently been in jail with her boyfriend and that he would “bring her something to sell and make money with” and stated something about Farm Road in Colbert. Her boyfriend said he did not know who the person might be.
•A man on Wesley Chapel Road said someone entered his 1993 Chevrolet S10 pick up and stole his medication that was inside a purple Crown Royal bag. He said the bag contained several medications including Prozac, blood pressure medications, Xanax, a pain medication and a sleeping medication.
•Warrants have been issued for a man who allegedly left the scene of his overturned vehicle on Griffeth Road. According to the incident report, officers were dispatched to Griffeth Road where they found a Ford Explorer overturned on a pasture fence, resting against a power pole. No one was inside or around the vehicle and the engine was cold. A mailbox was also found to be damaged. While on scene, a woman approached the officers saying she was the driver’s fiancé and that he had called her and told her that a deer ran out in front of him, causing him to crash. He said he ran from the scene and called her from a pay phone. When asked why he did not stay, the woman replied that he didn’t know if his license was suspended or not. The owner of the vehicle then showed up, saying the couple lived with him and that he had let the suspect borrow the vehicle several hours before, but that he did not know where the suspect was at that time. A towing company was called to remove the vehicle.
•A woman on Waggoner’s Grove Church Road reported that someone had struck her mailbox, breaking the post and carrying it around 500-feet up the road.
•The driver of a silver 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier allegedly drove off without paying for $20 worth of gas at a station on Hwy. 29 South. A store clerk said the driver came in and paid for $10 worth of gas, but then pumped an additional $20 without paying for it.
•A Danielsville water works employee reported that someone on Dry Creek Road has been illegally obtaining water from the city. The complainant said that the water meter had been turned off and locked at the location with a lock and chain, but that the chain had been cut so that the water could be cut back on and that approximately 5,000 gallons of water valued at $37, had been taken. An officer talked with the suspect, who said she would speak with city hall about the matter. The city advised they will seek a warrant for the total amount she owes ($134.21) if the issue cannot be resolved.
•A jewelry box was reportedly stolen from a home on William Wilson Road.
•Criminal trespass was reported on Colbert Business Parkway last week after man reported that someone he knows damaged his vehicle by scratching the passenger door and writing a note on the back in foul language.
•A juvenile male at home on suspension allegedly sent a juvenile female at the middle school a text picture of the “lower portion of his body.” A teacher discovered the photo when she removed the cell phone from the female student for using it to text in class. The male was to be charged with electronically furnishing obscene material to minors.

Fisher don't need to be drinking at all if he would do this to his own Mother after he gets drunk? AND for him to say he loved her DON'T change the fact he stabbed someone? I think he should be charged with attempted murder.
