Three Carlton men were arrested last week after someone reported that three black males driving a small red truck had stolen concrete forms and tools from his property on Simms Kidd Road.
Demetrius Lefonte Faust, 30, 34 Echols Mill Road, Chamaco Dantrell Cunningham, 20, and.Mack Jabares Cunningham, 18, both of 1309 Lexington Carlton Road were each charged with one count of theft by taking.
According to the incident report, someone called the property owner to report that the items were being taken. The victim then caught up with the red truck and followed it to Alewine’s Auto Salvage on Hwy. 29 and he called 911 to report them. Noticing he was behind them, they then reportedly left and headed into Clarke County. Sergeant Tommy Williams was traveling on Hwy. 72 and cut across to meet them. He stopped the vehicle near Lombardy Drive, and the victim, who was still following the truck, identified the items in the back of the truck as his.
All three were arrested and taken to the Madison County Jail.
