A couple was arrested recently after one of them flagged down an officer on patrol on Moriah Church Road.
Terry Wayne Fowler, 40, 138 Park Street, Commerce, was charged with criminal trespass and Connie Melissa Hand, 30, of the same address, was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked.
According to the incident report, Fowler waived down deputy Michael Moore, telling him that his girlfriend (Hand) had just thrown him out of the vehicle and left, and that she did not have a driver’s license. The vehicle was spotted further down the road and stopped, with Hand behind the wheel. She said she was attempting to leave Fowler during an argument during which he had broken the windshield with some type of tool. There were two open knives on the seat beside her and she was visibly upset. She did not have a driver’s license and Fowler admitted to damaging the windshield. Both were arrested.
In another arrest, Stacey Annette Moore, 32, 1378 Bullock Mill Road, Danielsville, was charged with DUI/alcohol, reckless driving and three counts of endangering a child under 14 years of age while DUI after officers were summoned to a vehicle crash on Bullock Mill Road. Officer Josh Fowler reportedly found the vehicle overturned on its roof in a driveway. He then walked to the residence where he found the children sitting in the living room. EMS was summoned to check the children and Moore. The children were turned over to their grandmother on scene and Moore was arrested by a Georgia State Patrolman and taken to the Madison County Jail. The vehicle was towed.
Others arrested by law enforcement in the county last week included:
•Jonathan Dwayne Arwood, 32, 5152 Colbert-Danielsville Road, Colbert, was charged with pedestrian under the influence after an officer found him walking along Old Elberton Road near Hwy. 72. The officer gave Arwood a ride to his house on Colbert-Danielsville Road, but his wife said he couldn’t stay there due to prior domestic issues. The officer noted at this time that Arwood was acting irrationally, was belligerent and had very large pupils “indicative of narcotic use.” He was then taken to jail.
