Work on the county Industrial Development Authority’s latest project, to install water lines in the Neese area, is expected to begin May 1.
Utility director Steve Shaw told the industrial authority April 18 that Griffin Brothers, which won the contract for the project, expects to begin work with two crews and estimates that the work will be finished in three months.
The IDA authorized executive director Marvin White to sign a “notice to proceed” form with Griffin Brothers.

Forget Sam Bruce road water line project. Doubt any improvement there would be viewed in positive manner even by locals. We have more pressing problems.
