Atlanta man sentenced to two years on drug charge
An Atlanta man was sentenced recently in Madison County Superior Court to two years in prison on a drug charge.
Julio Cesar Perez, 32, 528 Huntcliff Village Ct. Apt. 52, Atlanta, was sentenced to two years confinement and eight years probation and fined $2,025 for possession of methamphetamine (reduced from possession with intent to distribute). A charge of trafficking in methamphetamine or amphetamine was dismissed.
Other actions filed recently in the office of the clerk of Superior Court of Madison County include:
•Randy Dillard Owensby, 51, 3214 Adams Clarke Road, Commerce, was sentenced to six months confinement for obstruction of officers, driving while license suspended and driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs. Two charges of failure to appear were dismissed.
•Seidina Jean Scroggs, 28, 25 Natalie Court, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $337 for theft by taking (reduced from a felony to misdemeanor).
•Richard Lee Gositt, 24, 2120 Bobby Brown State Park Road, Elberton, was sentenced to one year probation, one day confinement and fined $611 for DUI alcohol. Charges of removing or affixing a license plate with the intent to conceal and failure to maintain lane were dismissed.
•James Kevin Trotochaud, 54, 245 Nacoochee Avenue, Athens, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $859 for obstruction or hindering firefighter and disorderly conduct.
•Pamela Sprayberry Cheek, 50, P.O. Box 551, Hull, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $490 for reckless driving (reduced from DUI drugs) and license to be carried and exhibited on demand.
•Ricky Streetman, 50, 257 North Finley Street, Athens, was sentenced to one year probation and fined a total of $455 for theft by taking and theft by conversion.
•Gary Dewight Beck, 40, 1055 State Street, Commerce, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $540 for obstruction of officers. Charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass were dismissed.
•Johnny Lee Gee Jr., 49, 2601 Della Slaton Road, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $830 for reckless driving (DUI alcohol). Charges of Georgia resident has 21 days to obtain a tag or new vehicle, no insurance on motorcycle and no helmet were dismissed.
•Jason Edward Smith, 25, 3943 Blacks Creek Church Road, Commerce, was sentenced to one year probation and was fined $530 for marijuana — less than an ounce — and obstruction of officers. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed.
•Joann Rose Burton-Snyder, 55, 1699 Hardman Morris Road, Colbert, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $830 for reckless driving (reduced from DUI alcohol). She was also sentenced to one year probation for weaving over roadway.
•Tony Westmoreland, 56, 2968 New Haven Church Road, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $1,081 for DUI drugs. Charges of stopping, standing, parking outside of business or residence and failure to abide by windshield and wiper requirements were dismissed.
•Dustin Lewis Casper, no age or address available, was sentenced to three years confinement, seven years probation and fined $522 for theft by taking and burglary. A second charge of burglary was dismissed.
•Sanantonio Wooten, 32, 965 Waddell Street, Athens, was sentenced to seven years probation and fined $697 for possession of cocaine.
•Victor Alfonso Delrio, 26, 2755 McFarlin Bridge Road, Carnesville, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $472 for criminal trespass. A charge of criminal attempt to commit a felony was dismissed.
•Kenneth Donald Cooper, 53, 3267 Hardman Morris Road, was sentenced to three years probation and fined $697 for possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. Charges of drugs not in original container, open container violation and weaving over roadway were dismissed.
•Aemark Reshaw Young, 32, 26 Peach Circle, Jefferson, was sentenced to five years probation for possession of cocaine and one year probation for possession of marijuana. Young was also fined $1,587. A charge of driving without a license was dismissed.
•Stevie Walker, 38, 776 Childers Road, Colbert, was sentenced to three years probation for tampering with evidence and one year probation for obstruction of officers. He was also fined $850.
•Jason Kerry Moody, 25, 29 Amber Place, Commerce, was sentenced to two years probation for financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card fraud and one year of probation on a third count of financial transaction card fraud. He was also fined $590. Two counts of failure to appear were dismissed.
•Jeremy Adam Starnes, 32, 2025 Winterville Road Lot 17, Athens, was sentenced to five years probation for theft by receiving and one year probation for driving while license suspended or revoked. He was also fined $662.
•Dustin Kyle Johnson, 27, 139 N. Main Street, Watkinsville, was sentenced to five years probation and fined $850 for theft by receiving stolen property.
•Letitia Marie Smith, 47, 3795 Hwy. 72 East, Comer, was sentenced to five years probation and fined $1,150 for possession of cocaine.
•David Raymond Hale, 49, 1190 Buddy Moore Road, Colbert, was sentenced to 10 years probation and fined $697 for possession, manufacture, distribution of marijuana.
•Jake Brandon Umberhant, 20, 90 Cedar Drive, Toccoa, was sentenced to one year probation for simple battery and simple assault (and crimes against persons in public transportation). He was also fined $320. A charge of criminal damage to property in the second degree was dismissed.
