Woman attacked by ‘Sherwood Hood Rats’

Aggravated assault was reported on Roy Woods Road last week when a woman told deputies three white men attacked her with a baseball bat while she was on a float on the Broad River near her home.

She stated they identified themselves as “the Sherwood Hood Rats.” Witnesses stated that they were on the bank when a medium build white woman hollered “get the b..” and the males then entered the water and attacked the victim. The victim was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center for her injuries.
