Missing money leads to fight at Hwy. 98 residence
A fight over missing money following a party was reported at a residence on Hwy. 98 West.
According to the incident report, officers were dispatched to the residence following the report of a theft of $3,000 cash from the home.
While enroute, officers were informed that some people there were fighting. Once they arrived, they spoke with several people, who reported that four others had left. One of the witnesses said the four who left had been at the home all day for a party and that he had hidden $3,000 in cash of his in a jar in his brother’s bedroom. He noticed that the cash was missing after the four, which included a father and son and two females, left the party.
When he called the father on the phone, he was told they did not take the money. Shortly afterwards, the men and the two females allegedly came back to the residence uninvited, with the two men “beating up” him and his brother.
The officers noted that the witnesses all appeared intoxicated and that the brothers had torn shirts, along with bruising on one of their faces. The father and son also allegedly broke a garage window in the home before they left. The father and son were later located and gave conflicting stories.
