Seven people were arrested on drug charges in Madison County recently.
•Matthew Darrell Drake, 27, 3250 Lot A2, Danielsville, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, prescription drugs must be in their original container(s), theft by taking and criminal damage to property in second degree.
•Loretta Graham Escoe, 51, Diamond Hill Trailer Park, Lot 22, Hull, possession of Schedule II controlled substance and possession and use of drug-related objects.
•William Thomas Escoe, 51, Hwy. 29 South, Diamond Hill Mobile Home Park Lot 22, Hull, possession of drug-related objects and possession of methamphetamine.
•Penny Louise Bishop, 41, 328 Old Harden Orchard Road, Commerce, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects and knowingly driving motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration.
•Kenneth Lee Bradshaw, 23, 1499 Main Street, Comer, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
•Delmonte Dijon Carter, 21, 7188 Hwy. 29, Danielsville, manufacture, deliver, sell, distribute, etc. or possession with intent to distribute flunitrazepam.
•Harvey Mitchell McCannon, 40, 827 Smithonia Road, Winterville, weaving over roadway, possession of open alcohol container, DUI/alcohol and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
•Charles Lamar Roberts, 38, 1053 Helican Springs Road, Athens, pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Others arrested by law enforcement in Madison County last week included:
•Melissa Lynn Allen, 35, 126 Bakers Street, Royston, driving while license suspended and weaving over roadway.
