Dear Editor:
When a citizen exercises the right to free speech in order to influence the outcome of an upcoming election, I believe that person takes on a responsibility to be as accurate and clear-headed as possible. The angry letter in last week’s paper whose only legitimate charge against presidential candidate Barack Obama is that he is too popular, and which failed to make even one legitimate point on behalf of John McCain, failed both tests, and both candidates deserve better.

I disagree, I think Joanne White's letter did contain a clear point. She noted many people are blindly following the media hype of a candidate with no experience.
