Madison County eleventh graders were in the middle of the pack in Georgia on the state graduation tests this year, finishing 88th out of 187 systems.
A total of 71.8 percent of Madison County juniors taking the test for the first time passed all four sections of the exam: English, math, science and social studies.
Madison County’s worst subject on the test was social studies, with 21.4 percent of participants failing that portion of the exam. Meanwhile, 12.5 percent failed English, 16.6 percent math and 9.1 percent science.
