Danielsville man arrested for violating protective order and for resisting ...

Thomas Jerry Haley, 61, 97 Grady Lane, was charged with obstruction and two counts of violation of a Family Violence order.

According to the incident report, a man reported that Haley came to his place of business and started “hassling him” about a civil matter despite him having a TPO against Haley. When officer Gary Floyd later stopped Haley on Grady Lane about the matter, Haley allegedly became belligerent with him and began to use foul language when asked to submit to a sobriety test.

When told he was under arrest, he reportedly backed up against his vehicle so Floyd could not get to his hands and then jerked away from him twice before he could get him handcuffed. On the way to jail, Haley reportedly continued to use foul language and told Floyd “he knew people and would have (his) job.” While being taken out of the patrol car Haley reportedly stated in front of Floyd and detention officers that he would “shoot a pig,” allegedly referring to law enforcement.

Others arrested by local law enforcement agencies recently included:

•Douglas Bradley Prather, 31, of 664 Charlie Bolton Road, Colbert, was arrested on several outstanding warrants including burglary, no tag, fleeing or attempting to elude, obstruction, driving without a valid license, burglary and a probation violation after he was found at a residence on Hwy. 174 in the Shiloh Community following a tip.

Prather fled the scene of a traffic stop in late May after leading officer Joshua Smith on a chase along Garnett Ward Road and Thomas Drive. Two passengers in the vehicle at the time were arrested on drug charges. One of them, Kristen Danielle Jones, 22, 300 Logmont Trace, Bogart, was found with Prather and arrested again because being in contact with Prather was a violation of her bond. She was charged with obstruction, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, prescription drugs must be in original container, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and burglary.

•William Joseph Adams, II, 44, 371 Timber Ridge Lane, Colbert, driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Frederick Antonio Appling, 43, 580 Farm Road, Colbert, failure to appear.

•Teri Lynn Boyd, 31, 440 Friendship Church Road, Danielsville, pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs and obstruction.

•Kenny Fontaine Brandon, 33, 1330 Lenru Road, Bogart, four counts of deposit account fraud.

•Tina Faye Clements, 43, 42 Goss Lane, Colbert, possession of methamphetamine, DUI/alcohol, driving while license suspended or revoked, weaving over roadway, giving false name, address or birthdate to law enforcement officer and no tag.

•Russell Keith Cochran, 54, 1976 Dunkin Road, Commerce, probation violation.

•Timothy Christopher Compton, 35, 557 Bethesda Church Road, Lexington, deposit account fraud/bad checks and probation violation.

•Kevin Joseph Crotti, 26, 1160 Peachtree Road, Elberton, failure to appear.
