Madison County school board members and county commissioners have yet to approve new district maps.
County districts must be redrawn this year to account for population changes reflected in the 2010 Census.
The county school board reviewed two potential tweaks to its current district map June 30. Both options are very similar to the current board of education map. And while board members didn’t take any official vote, they seemed to agree on one proposal, which includes a smoother boundary line on the west side of district 2.
