Madison County will soon have two new AT&T cell towers.
County commissioners approved 195-foot cell towers on Rogers Mill Road and off Hwy. 72 near Colbert.
Troy Chandler requested a conditional use permit to allow AT&T to place a cell tower on his 40 acres on Rogers Mill Road. And Dennis and Brenda Moon requested a conditional use permit for an AT&T tower on their 94 acres off Hwy. 72.
The board unanimously approved Chandler’s request Aug. 1 and voted 4-1 to approve the Moons’ application, with commissioner John Pethel providing the lone “No.”

So just how much money is made per year by having one of these cell towers on your property? Stick it behind Dennis and Brenda's house and see how they like it.

I think that the renter of the land should have to reimburse the local residents for their obvious loss in property values that will arise from locating this tower there. Also when is the Madison County Tax Commissioners going to wake up and realize that the so called barn across from the said building site is actually a house and seems to be build to give the impression to passerby's that its a for agricultural use.
