A 50-year old man was injured Aug. 15 when a tree reportedly fell on him as he was working at a residence at 1860 Rogers Mill Road.
A woman called E-911 about 9:39 a.m. to report that the man had been injured. She stated that the tree was off him at the time of the call, but that he was in “extreme pain” and could not get up.
The caller placed a second call to E-911 a few moments later to say that the victim was disoriented, bleeding from his nose and that his legs were numb.
EMS director Jason Lewis said Aug. 15 that the man was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
